LAS summer

Language Acquisition Track-is an intensive course where students can choose between English and French and embark on a lively journey designed to significantly boost their language skills, confidence, and cultural understanding. Each morning, you will have a chance to dive into three hours of dynamic instruction tailored to your age and ability level, whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, or advanced learner. Beyond the classroom, all students will take part in cultural expeditions, using their new language skills to navigate, explore, and connect with the local environment. Whether it’s a scavenger hunt through the village of Leysin or interviewing local artists, these experiences deepen linguistic ability and cultural appreciation. By the end of the course, students of both languages will have honed their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Experiential Entrepreneurship: Experiential Entrepreneurship is a dynamic course that encourages you to think like an innovator, embrace creativity, and understand the core of successful entrepreneurship. Throughout the program, you will delve into the process of social innovation, learning how to identify problems, brainstorm impactful solutions, envision the future, and transform your ideas into tangible actions. Your journey will be enriched with interactive workshops with local businesses in the Leysin area, where you’ll gain firsthand insight into the practical aspects of bringing an idea to life. Excursions, such as a visit to the Impact Hub in Geneva, will offer you a deeper understanding of innovative industries and organizations, inspiring you to think about how you can contribute to positive change. In addition to these immersive experiences, the Experiential Entrepreneurship program boasts high-profile speakers who have made significant contributions to technology, humanitarian efforts, space exploration, and social entrepreneurship. By the end of the program, you will not only have developed a solid foundation in innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship but also built lasting connections, enhanced your teamwork skills, and gained the confidence to pursue your ideas and projects. Our Summer Enrichment Track offers students the opportunity to dive into three specialized areas:

/ Performing Arts: Nurture your creativity and develop your skills in the arts. Learn from experienced artists and mentors who will guide you through a variety of workshops and performances.

/ DaVinci in the Digital World: Embrace your inner innovator by exploring the intersections of art, science, and technology. Delve into cutting-edge digital tools, including 3D design, coding, and robotics.

/ Global Minds: Hone your public speaking, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities while sharpening your diplomatic and leadership skills along the way.

After their morning program and lunch, students enjoy a fun-filled afternoon with clubs followed by activities.  Each session, students choose from seven different clubs: Team Sports, Cooking & Baking, Hiking and Climbing, Robotics and Programming, Visual Arts, Tennis, or Performing Arts. They attend the same club throughout the program.  Choose one club per session from the options: Team Sports; Visual Arts; Robotics and Programming; Performing Arts; Hiking and Climbing; Cooking and Baking; Tennis.

Our signature Family Program is the hallmark of the LAS Summer experience. Each student is placed in a “Family” for the duration of the program. Led by two or three counselors, each family is made up of a group of students of the same age from across the world.  Every session, our Families gather for a number of evening activities and special events—from sharing a meal together to participating in friendly competitions, the Family Program offers another opportunity for students to strengthen existing friendships and develop new ones!

/ Afternoon Activities

Each day, students choose a different afternoon activity.  We offer so many activities that students could choose something different every day and never do the same thing twice! From horseback riding to ice skating, this is a great time for students to try something new! Activities we have offered in the past have included Floor Hockey, Finger Knitting, Beach Volleyball, Dirt Biking, Ukulele Lessons, Painting & Drawing, Yoga, Hiking, Tie-dye, Football (Soccer), Parapenting, and Dance, and so much more.  There really is something for everyone!

/ Evening and Social Events

Our evenings are just as exciting as our daytime activities! From exhilarating sports nights where energy and competition thrive, to cozy family nights that bring everyone together in a warm, communal atmosphere, our themed evenings are designed to cater to diverse interests and ensure endless fun.

/ Fantastic Fridays

Every Friday afternoon, we offer our students the chance to indulge in unique and thrilling experiences. Fantastic Fridays are designed to give you a break from the usual routine and immerse yourself in new, exciting activities. Gear up for a Friday like no other, where each week brings a new adventure and the chance to explore, laugh, and grow!

/ Weekends

Every weekend of our summer program offers a delightful blend of exploration, relaxation, and cultural immersion, perfect for recharging and experiencing the wonders of Switzerland and beyond! In 2025, each session features two special city excursions. The first is a trip to a charming Swiss city – Bern in Session 1, Geneva in Session 2. The second excursion is an international journey, taking you to Annecy, France in Session 1, and Aosta, Italy in Session 2. These trips offer opportunities for sightseeing, souvenir shopping, engaging activities, enjoying a meal out, spending quality time with friends, and more.
